Natural disaster Hurricane Sandy has put a dent into Jamaica's banana crop. JP - Jamaica Producer Group has estimated a 90% loss. It is stated that Jamaica Producer manages four-fifths of total banana production in Jamaica, and the value of this biological asset loss would total around J$30 million to J$40, with a five percent annual revenue loss. Banana's are one of Jamaica's top exports as well therefore if they lose business with their top export partners.
Resource Change
There is a loss of bananas therefore the agriculture is decreasing, and the manufacturing is decreasing as well. This can be shown by looking at PP1, seeing that it stands at a high ground, and then looking at PP2 and seeing that were was a decrease, causing a shift leftward.
